I run a boutique consulting business serving a small but very special group of clients. I am a public speaker, master of ceremonies, trainer and facilitator. 

In addition I am Non-Executive Chairman of WhiteSpace Partners Ltd. This top tier advisory business advises brands and operators who want to expand into other territories and are also specialists in M&A activity.

My main consulting role at present is with ECE Marketplaces GmbH & KG, acting as Project Director - Leasing Services, based in Hamburg, Germany. In my current consultant role I am advising the ECE Marketplaces business on the important and special projects in the business, including the retail, foodservice, leisure and placemaking components. Working seamlessly across the business, my function is to deliver these projects to the highest standard and with an absolute client focus.

As a leading foodservice professional in the international property industry, with strong creative leadership, project management and collaborative skills, I have achieved operational excellence in job roles and corporate development. I consider myself to be an innovative thinker, who until July 2021 held the role of Director and Global Head of Foodservice, Leisure and Placemaking for ECE. I delivered real asset value through guest foodservice and leisure activities. 

Now acting as a consultant, my work still involves leading projects that create great places for people to enjoy in shopping, retail and work places. I am a detail focused analyst who has worked in Due Diligence and Corporate Finance specialising in the foodservice and hospitality sector, with extensive knowledge of corporate growth, strategy and development.

I have been and continue to be a strong participant and contributor in the foodservice industry. I am a past Worldwide President of the FCSI (Foodservice Consultants Society International) and I am passionate about service and guest care, independence and impartiality.

I specialise in the development of new food places and concepts in foodservice, the improvement of operational performance in restaurants and cafes and consumer insight and forecasting in the hospitality industry.

Before joining ECE in 2017, I was Head of EMEA Foodservice Consulting at JLL. I was part of the international foodservice consultancy advising Landlords, Developers, Operators and Finance companies.  

Prior to that I was Managing Director & Owner of Coverpoint Catering Consultancy. I founded, expanded and ran successfully the market leading foodservice consulting business in commercial property. Originally starting in the U.K in 1992, the business grew to be the leading practice in Europe and on a worldwide platform. At that point the sale to JLL was effected to support our global growth aspirations for the business.  

I travel extensively and live in the New Forest in England, with my young son and daughter, wife and two dogs.
